The Lytle ISD District Educational Improvement Council (DEIC) serves as an advisory committee to provide input to the district administration throughout the school year. The committee comprises teachers, non-teaching professionals, parents, business and community members as outlined in board policy. Committee members serve staggered, three-year terms. The DEIC is seeking nominations for the 2012-13 school year.

Some of the topics to be researched and explored by the DEIC this year includes: Technology/21st Century Learning; Career and Technical Education (CATE); facilities; curriculum and instruction (PreK, special education and dyslexia); Bilingual/English as a Second Language; advanced academics/fine arts; and professional development.
The schedule for the 2012-13 DEIC meetings is 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the following dates: Nov. 12, Mar. 4, Apr. 8 and May 13. All meetings will be at the Lytle ISD Administration Building.
