Pirate Band marches in Harlandale to prepare for Regionals

On Saturday, the band competed at Harlandale Memorial Stadium and moved one step closer to our goal for UIL Marching.  At this contest, the band received a "split-decision" with two of the judges still giving us a 2nd Division, but the third judge gave us a rating of 1st division.   Overall, the band placed 4th in the field of seven 3A bands.

Our colorguard placed 2nd among the 3A colorguards, just one point behind Hondo's cologuard (79 to 80).

We now enter our final week of practice before competing on Saturday the 19th at Barry Field in Hondo for the UIL Region 11 Marching Contest.   Thanks to everyone for all the support and encouragement you have given the band staff and students this year!
