Junior High Student Council Pitching Pennies to Strike Out ALS

Pitch a Penny to Strike Out ALS

Feb. 24 - March 7, 2014

Every year, the JR. High STUCO picks an organization to raise money for in an effort to make a difference in our world. This year we have chosen the ALS Association to honor Mrs. Rena's Mother, who died because of ALS. Mrs. Rena is our 8th grade ELA teacher.

The JR. High STUCO will be having a two week fund raiser for ALS.

It is the JR. High STUCOs goal to raise $2000.00 in the effort to defeat ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)

Money will be collected during home room each day. The home room that collects the most money gets a free Pizza Party or Taco Breakfast. There will be a first, second, and third place winning Pennant for the top three home rooms. Each student who donates even one penny will have their name placed on a baseball and taped up around the school.

We also have T-shirts which will be given away by drawing from names of students who donate. Drawings will take place on the first day, Feb. 25, Friday, Feb. 28 and March 7. The winners will be announced on Feb. 26, March 3, and March 17.

Teachers: We will be putting collection envelopes and baseballs into your boxes.
