Social Media Post Creates Concern

The social media post (pictured) has created concern in our district, and we want our community to be made aware. Lytle Police and Medina County Sheriff’s department are investigating the matter. If you have new information to provide, please report using the Crimestoppers button or the Safe2SpeakUp button on lytleisd.com. Lytle ISD staff is always vigilant about the safety and security of our students. We ask our community members, parents, and students to NOT repost the social media message currently under investigation.

To clarify, it is OKAY to repost our FaceBook and Twitter message. We want an informed community, so we use Twitter, FB, www.lytleisd.com, and parent mass emails to notify all of the situation we are addressing. IF the ORIGINAL post (not the one where we added the words: DO NOT REPOST) shows up in your social media feeds, we ask that you do not repost, as that prolongs the life of the concern it has caused. Posts like these can keep resurfacing for a very long time, always as a scare for "next week."
