The students in our Lytle schools depend on the adults in our community to see that their educational opportunities are the best they can be. Our schoolchildren can’t vote in bond elections, can’t debate testing or vouchers, and can’t run for the school board. They are totally dependent on us to provide for them.
Lytle ISD is proud of the support our community has shown the foundation over the past few years. Since its inception in 2011, the foundation has given out nearly $86,000 in grants.
What is PREP? PREP is a mathematics-based academic enrichment program that emphasizes the development of abstract reasoning and problem-solving skills, and helps students prepare for careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). PREP is offered over the course of seven weeks for up to four summers; sutdnets may reapply each year. High school elective credit is awarded for each successfully completed year of PREP.
