Family Connections

For 30 years, Mrs. Flores has enjoyed being an active member of Prevailing Word Church. She provides grief support when needed and participates in Youth Events hosted by the church for area youth. The majority of the kids she works with attend Lytle Schools. Mrs. Flores raised two sons, her oldest graduated from Devine in 2006, and Israel graduated from Lytle, Class of 2016. Mrs. Flores especially enjoys attending school events and getting involved as a mentor when possible. If you see Mrs. Flores driving around the district, she is likely praying over our schools - she does this almost daily.

Working on the Lytle ISD Board of Trustees

In addition to volunteering as a Lytle ISD Board Trustee, Mrs. Flores also serves on the district’s Pastoral Council. Says Mrs. Flores, “It’s great to minister from the church's perspective but I also wanted to do my part filling community needs. I love how well our board collaborates. I'm proud of passing the bond in 2018. I believe it's our job to know what Lytle parents want for their children, do what we say we are going to do, and be accountable and transparent in our actions. Serving my community as a school board member gives me an opportunity to love, help and support our children as well as their whole family.”

Key Message for our Lytle Community

“I encourage all in our community to get involved. Support your students by supporting our schools. There are so many ways you can connect with our schools by attending events - sports, arts and academics. Even if you don’t have students in school, the numerous events offered will give you a greater appreciation for the school’s huge role in making sure our young people are well-rounded, successful, and caring members of our community.”
