10-16-2013 "Mad Dog" Messmer Warns Students of Consequences of Drugs and Alcohol

Lytle High School and Lytle Junior High students had the unique opportunity to have an assembly with respected lecturer, Dale "Mad Dog" Messmer.  Mad Dog is a former Marine and Law Enforcement officer who's life took a turn for the worse when he became involved in a highly publicized tale of drugs and violence.  After completing his sentence, Mad Dog has rebuilt his life, his business as a stunt coordinator for movies and tv and dedicates his time tirelessly traveling the United States to warn youth of the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

His message to the students was clear:  It only takes 1 bad decision to change the rest of your life.  When you don't choose wisely, it will effect you, your family and friends and others around you.  It's only a matter of time.  It's not if you'll get caught, it's when will you get caught.

We thank him for his time and very relevant message to our students.
