If you were not in Seguin on Friday night, February 16, 2024, you missed a thriller. The girls came back to get the win 66-65 over a strong Edna team. It was a battle back and forth all night and with 15.9 seconds left in the game Calyssa Sevier came down the court and drained a 3-pointer to take Lytle up by one point. The last timeout called, and the kids were told they had to play man to man defense for the next 15.9 seconds to secure the win. Edna got a 3-pointer off, but it rolled in the basket and somehow rolled out. The screaming from the crowd in that gym was deafening. Everyone had chills! Coach Wilson’s thoughts, “It was one of the most intense games I have been part of in all my years of Coaching! These are the moments we all live for!” Thank you to everyone that made the drive out to support the girls, they could not have done it without you! The girls are now on to Round 3 of the Playoffs for the Regional Quarterfinals! It is an exciting time at Lytle High School! This TEAM is amazing! If you see these girls, please wish them good luck!
