Yesterday, April 3, 2024, the Junior High baseball team kicked off their season against the rival Natalia Mustangs.
Both the Seventh Grade Gold team and Eighth Grade Black team got off to a slow start but found their groove thanks to some heads-up base running, smart swinging of the bats, and lots of energy from the dugout! It was an exciting environment to be around last night as both teams earned their first victory of this young season!
It was quite the debut for the Junior High Pirates, and they are eager to continue to work hard and improve with every game moving forward. You do not have to wait long to catch them in action again next as Lytle hosts the Junior High tournament this weekend between the Natalia Mustangs, Hondo Owls, and Lytle Pirates.
