The Pirates travelled to Crystal City on Friday and picked up a hard-fought win against the Javelinas. After falling behind 4 to 1, Lytle came roaring back in the 4th inning to take the lead 5 - 4. Both teams traded runs in the 5th and 7th. Your Pirates showed some grit as they managed to hold off the Javelinas comeback attempt in the 7th.
Sophomore, Toby Davila was 4 for 4 at the plate with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI. Toby also picked up the save on the mound by recording all 3 assists in the final inning. Damien Barco was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's and a double.
