This morning, Friday, May 3, 2024, Camaro Morin earned a PERFECT TSIA2 Math Score! He did so in a grand innocent fashion and jumped out of his skin when Ms. Hoffman rang the big red bell. Camaro is a Sophomore in Mr. SALAZAR’s Geometry class and wishes to study law after graduating high school. When Ms. Hoffman called his mother to tell her the great news, she was already buying a cake for him to find on the table when he got home from school.
Everyone knows it is a HUGE inconvenience for students to be out of the classroom to take the TSIA but it is a whole process and starts with students just wanting to become “College and CAREER Ready”. There was not a single student testing today who did not want to test. Several students went back to class when given the choice. Lytle ISD will not TSIA test any students who don’t want to test. Ms. Hoffman will get together with them in the future, but for today, they were in control. Says Ms. Hoffman, “Our goals should be our students’ goals, not the other way around. Growth-Empowerment-Motivation will open so many doors."
Yes, processes and testing systems will improve over time but for now, students just need to TEST.
